2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide and improve AceStats.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• First name and optional last name
• Email address
• Password credentials, stored securely through our authentication provider
• Account identifier
• Subscription status and plan type

Profile and Tennis Information

To personalize the app experience, you may provide:

• Age range
• Tennis role, such as player, coach, or player and coach
• Tennis level
• Dominant hand
• Backhand style
• Playing frequency
• Tennis goals and interests
• Survey responses, including how you heard about AceStats and whether you have used similar apps

Match and Player Data

When you use AceStats to track matches, we may store:

• Player names and player profile information
• Match date, format, surface, conditions, tournament information, and round
• Score, point history, serving information, rally length, shot placement, winners, forced errors, unforced errors, double faults, returns, and other tennis statistics
• Match notes written by you
• Coaching summaries, recommendations, training plans, and performance insights generated from match data

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to enter information about other players.

Purchase and Subscription Information

AceStats offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's App Store.

Apple processes payments, billing, refunds, and subscription renewals. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

We may receive limited subscription-related information, such as:

• Product identifier
• Subscription tier
• Purchase status
• Expiration date
• Transaction or original transaction identifiers where available
• Whether an entitlement is active, expired, cancelled, or restored

Device and Technical Information

We may collect limited technical data needed to operate the app, including:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Language and region settings
• General diagnostic information necessary to resolve errors or improve reliability

We do not use this information to identify you personally unless it is linked to your account for support or security purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Create and manage your AceStats account
• Authenticate sign-in sessions and secure access to your data
• Save and synchronize players, matches, notes, and profile settings
• Generate tennis statistics, match overviews, coaching insights, and training recommendations
• Provide the features included in your selected subscription plan
• Verify and restore subscription access through Apple
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain app security, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Improve the reliability, usability, and performance of AceStats
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Coaching Insights

AceStats analyzes the tennis data you record to provide statistics, performance summaries, coaching insights, and suggested training plans.

At this time, AceStats coaching functionality is based on rule-based statistical analysis of your recorded match data. It is designed to support tennis training and should not be treated as professional medical, physical, or injury-prevention advice.

You remain responsible for making training and competition decisions appropriate to your own health, ability, and circumstances.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information under one or more of the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: to provide the AceStats account, match tracking, synchronization, and subscription features you request.
• Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve AceStats.
• Consent: where required, for example when you choose to provide optional information or enable notifications.
• Legal obligations: where processing is required by applicable law.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only as necessary with trusted service providers that help us operate AceStats:

• Supabase: used for account authentication and secure cloud storage of account, player, match, and note data.
• Apple: used to process in-app purchases, subscriptions, billing, refunds, and restore-purchase requests through the App Store.
• Expo / infrastructure providers: used to deliver, build, maintain, or support the mobile application where applicable.

These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to us and subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, security, and property of AceStats, our users, or others.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live. When we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide AceStats.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Subscription and transaction records may be retained where necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting, or App Store-related obligations.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Request a copy of your data
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your AceStats account and associated personal data through the app's account settings, where available, or by contacting us at privacy@acestats.com.

Deleting your account may permanently remove your profile, player records, match history, notes, and related stored data. This action may not be reversible.

Deleting your AceStats account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. You must manage or cancel Apple subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

11. Children's Privacy

AceStats is not directed to children under the age of 13.

If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should use AceStats only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

AceStats may include links or interactions with third-party services, including the Apple App Store. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing them with personal information.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice through the app or by other appropriate means.

Your continued use of AceStats after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you accept the revised policy.
